Monitoring an advanced prostate cancerAdvanced prostate cancer A prostate cancer that has spread to tissue surrounding the prostate (locally advcanced) or other organs (metastatic). through regular tests to avoid treatment until symptoms develop, in which case treatment will be palliative. Watch and wait is a term used in other cancer types, that is sometimes used synonymously.
